Last Sunday, Zaria made history in NXT by becoming a two-time champion, just like her former friend: a symbolic victory.
During NXT Heatwave on August 30, 2026, the Australian opened the show, as confident as ever at the idea of leaving her mark on the gray show. She came out victorious from a highly contested triple threat against Kali Armstrong and Wren Sinclair. A spear and an F-5 allowed Zaria to unify the North American Championship as well as the Speed Championship.
Her former friend Sol Ruca accomplished the same feat last year, and reacted on social media a few hours after Zaria’s victory in Texas: “You’re following in my footsteps, it seems… Let’s hope you don’t get hurt, old friend…”
As for Sol Ruca, she did not experience the same success this Monday on RAW at all. Despite a promising match in Cleveland against Raquel Rodriguez, she would not manage to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship due to an interference by Lyra Valkyria.
