As noted by Catch-Newz, it’s important to remember that Steven Borden spent two years training and beginning this new wrestling career before stepping into AEW’s ring. He had in fact spent the last few months competing in matches before shows to develop his experience in front of crowds.
In short, Sting’s son will continue his ascent within the AEW roster. An ascent that will begin alongside Darby Allin. A family friend, but also someone who has been his coach over the past two years.
