The Rock has decided to pay tribute to Pac on his social networks.
In addition to a written post, he chose to deliver his message via video. Directly from his gym, The Rock revisits the fact that Pac’s passing hurts the entire community.
He notes that this event touches everyone across WWE, AEW, and independent wrestling. The Rock is not afraid to mention AEW despite his loyalty to WWE :
“He left us far too young, at 40. No matter how global wrestling and WWE are, and even as AEW grows to become this phenomenal wrestling company, no matter where you wrestle around the world, we form a tight-knit group because we share the same DNA, that is, our love and passion for the ring and for the audience around the world. When we lose one of ours, it hurts. When it’s someone young and incredibly talented, damn, it really hurts.”
The Rock also takes the opportunity to extend his condolences to everyone, including “his friend Tony Khan, QT Marshall and all those in the AEW and WWE locker rooms :
