Tommaso Ciampa has become the new National Champion in the wake of AEW Collision on November 7, 2026.
It was a special live edition held aboard Chris Jericho’s cruise ship, and Ciampa helped mark the night by defeating Andrade El Idolo to claim the championship.
While Andrade appeared poised to seal the win with another finisher on Ciampa, Ciampa managed to reverse him and secure the victory with a quick pinfall:
This was a rematch between them since Andrade had defeated him the first time at WrestleDream 2026, but Ciampa wasn’t about to let the matter drop.
This marks Ciampa’s second championship in AEW, after having captured the TNT Championship in his AEW debut. On Andrade’s side, he can now focus on his contract granting him a title shot for the AEW World Championship at a time of his choosing.
Andrade aimed to push his National Championship to the forefront, defending it on a weekly basis.
