Tony D’Angelo: Grayson Waller Never Sets Foot in the Locker Room Because He Knows He’d Get Beaten Up

October 14, 2026

The rivalry between Tony and Grayson has become very personal.

On August 31, the former tag team champion stole the title from D’Angelo during NXT Heatwave. And since then, Waller has been acting cocky every week on the gray show: someone needs to put him in his place.

Fortunately, Tony D’Angelo has become the No. 1 contender last Tuesday in Orlando by pinning Myles Borne. The war is on: he will reclaim his title at Halloween Havoc on October 31. While stopping by on Busted Open, the challenger did not hesitate to take the champion to task for his lack of integration into the roster…

He states :

“Grayson is a little chihuahua. He talks a lot, but if you stand in front of him, he tightens up a bit. And it got on my nerves when he did that whole routine where he talked about the entire locker room and blah blah blah… Just to speak nonsense. But the funniest part is that he was all by himself. I see him backstage. He never sets foot in the locker rooms because he knows he’d get beaten up, no joke. He never shows up in the men’s locker room. No, he’s afraid. He only talks. That’s all he does.”

“I’ll give him that: yeah, he can talk on the microphone and he manages to give the impression that he’s a major threat. […] I’m an typically American wrestler, so I’m used to operating within a small circle. Him, not so much, so as soon as I lay hands on this little weasel, it will be over.”

Do you think Tony D’Angelo will give the champion Grayson Waller a lesson on October 31?
