Tony D’Angelo: I Want to Make the Main Roster

November 1, 2026

The wait is long for Tony D’Angelo…

Signed with WWE in early 2021, it will soon be six years since the former leader of the The Family has been wrestling on the NXT side. Tony has left his imprint on the development brand, notably thanks to his victory against Oba Femi and also his reign as NXT Champion a few months ago. But when will D’Angelo make his main roster debut? In a PWInsider interview a few days ago, Tony D’Angelo indicated that he was showing patience.

He states :

“I think that when it comes to waiting, everyone has their own pace. So I won’t sit there worrying about it: I stressed a little, but now I don’t worry anymore, that’s just how it is. Why stress every day about something you don’t really have control over?”

“NXT treated me well: Shawn, Johnny, Bloom… All these people were really nice to me, so I will do everything I can to help, but of course I want to join the main roster. That has always been my goal since I arrived here. But I won’t stay there wondering why it’s not for now, asking all these questions to which I will never get answers. All I can control is what I do, the intensity of my work and the efforts I put in to get there. […] And whatever happens, it will happen. I have a family at home that I see every night, so it doesn’t bother me.”

Last night at Halloween Havoc on NXT, Tony D’Angelo lost his championship match against Grayson Waller. Was it a farewell match to prep his arrival on RAW or SmackDown?
