Tony Khan has confirmed that Toni Storm’s return remains planned on the AEW side.
Toni Storm was suddenly pulled from AEW programs after being attacked backstage in March 2026. AEW announced she would be out for an extended period, and it was later learned that her absence was not due to an injury, but that she would miss the rest of 2026.
In a press conference after AEW WrestleDream, Tony Khan confirmed that Toni Storm’s return is still very much scheduled, but he cannot say when it will take place:
“You asked me about the former World Champion The Eternal Toni Storm. Well, I know that Toni Storm is missed, but everyone is doing absolutely fantastic work. In AEW’s women’s division, the locker room has really risen to the occasion in the absence of the former World Champion, a title currently held by Mercedes Moné.”
“The former World Champion Toni Storm is certainly on everyone’s mind, and even though I can’t say when or where, I know that Toni Storm will be back in AEW and will look to take her revenge on whoever sidelined her.”‘
There is currently no official date for Toni Storm’s return to AEW screens. The wrestler has also been very quiet on social media. She is sharing old moments from her career, but she is not sharing any new photos or information about herself.
The start of 2027 will be worth watching for her return.
