Tony Khan confirmed in an interview that he would have accepted the offer to send Edge / Adam Copeland to AEW for a final match against John Cena as part of his farewell tour.
Indeed, a few weeks ago Adam Copeland had stated in an interview that if WWE had contacted him, Tony Khan would certainly have accepted the offer. In an interview with Metro UK this week, the head of AEW confirmed that he was open to collaborations and remains so.
Here is the full statement:
”No one has ever asked me, and to my knowledge Adam has not been approached either, so it’s hard to say. But whenever there have been opportunities to collaborate, I have always been willing to do so in the past. No one has ever asked us for anything, but if a plan had been presented to me, with the dates and information about what was planned, yes, I would have supported it. But no one ever asked us for anything, neither me nor Adam.”
