AEW will present the Grand Slam France event at the Adidas Arena in Paris in less than two weeks. We recently learned that the show would not be broadcast live, but a few hours later, in the night from Tuesday, October 6 to Wednesday, October 7, starting at 2:00 a.m. Paris time, or 8:00 p.m. Montreal time, on TBS and MyAEW.
The French-language version will air on Thursday, October 8, but Warner TV Next explains that they tried to broadcast the show live… to no avail. In response to one of Catch-Newz’s Instagram posts, the television network reveals that it is working “to broadcast this event on the channel as close as possible to October 6” and that it “wanted to be able to broadcast the program on Warner TV Next live (or nearly simultaneously).” However, “for contractual reasons,” the American broadcast must take place before the French broadcast.
The explanation from Warner TV Next:
“Originally, we aimed to be able to air the program on Warner TV Next live (or nearly simultaneously), but, for contractual reasons, we must wait for the American broadcast to have taken place before we can schedule it on the channel.”
