Matt Cardona likely couldn’t hold back his tears backstage last Friday.
Last week on SmackDown, WWE Champion Chelsea Green delivered one of the best promos of her career. The Canadian touched the fans as well as Nick Aldis, which allowed her to retain her belt despite her injury. In an interview on Busted Open, her husband Matt Cardona said that thanks to this injury, the WWE universe got to see her true potential.
He states :
« I told her that I was glad she had been hurt because it allowed her to deliver this promo from the heart. Which, I think, makes her the wrestler of the moment in WWE. I think everyone knows how entertaining she is, but she is much more than that and I think last Friday’s promo was proof of it. »
