When Will Hollywood Cast WWE Wrestlers?

BIANCA BELAIR AND HER DREAM

Currently sidelined for almost a year and a half, the WWE’s EST has never hidden her love for cinema, and more specifically for Marvel. She has indicated that she would particularly love to portray Storm from the X-Men if the opportunity arises. But for that, she will have to stand out even more. And indeed, wrestling is a kind of film school, sharpening the foundations of acting. She can get there. Especially since the former world champion often finds herself in the spotlight on American television.

In 2022, Bianca Belair signed with WME (William Morris Endeavor), one of Hollywood’s most powerful talent agencies (which also represents big names in cinema and sports). This signing is specifically aimed at building her career as an actress, model, and media personality beyond the ring. In an interview with Fightful that year, the partner of Montez Ford expressed her desire to act alongside the biggest talents in Hollywood.

She stated:

“Yes, I would love that. You know, I’m currently a WWE superstar and I love what I do. I want to keep refining my craft and see how far I can go to solidify my legacy here at WWE. But of course, I’d also like to appear on screen in Hollywood and perhaps portray a superhero there. Maybe one day film a movie with The Rock or John Cena. That would be a dream come true for me.”

THE MARVEL CURSE: SETH ROLLINS AND BECKY LYNCH

And there is someone who fulfilled Bianca Belair’s dream of appearing in a Marvel film in 2023: Seth Rollins. Well, almost: the Visionary’s scenes were cut during the final edit… The Visionary had indeed shot scenes for the film Captain America: Brave New World, released in early 2025, in the role of a member of the villain group. Yet this secondary plotline was entirely removed from the cut to simplify the main story… A pity for the former Shield member. But at least Seth gained the experience of a major shoot, and they’ll have his contact.

Probably disappointed by this decision, Rollins spoke to Chris Van Vliet:

“It’s coming out in February. I wish him the best, but I’m not part of this film.”

“The script went through a lot of rewrites and new shoots, so what I was supposed to do was either reassigned or completely cut. I went through something like an audition to appear in another role, but they ended up taking another direction.”

“From what I understand, there were a lot of rewrites and new shoots and they have a finished product that they hope will be satisfying and, hopefully, successful, but it will be without Seth Rollins.”

And this Hollywood career could very well be a family project: his wife Becky Lynch has also made waves in the American film industry. She had also shot a mystery post-credits scene for the Marvel film Eternals in 2021. However, like Seth Rollins later, her scene was completely cut from the final cut by Marvel Studios, the director and producers deeming the scene too scary or out of place compared to the rest of the film.

We know the two won’t linger in WWE: The Man had announced that she was considering leaving at the end of her contract last year in Unreal, while Rollins has been stacking injuries and could be nearing the end of his career at age 40. Maybe they will devote themselves 100% to cinema later on?

THE HANDSOME PAST OF LA KNIGHT

It might be hard to believe when heard this way, but LA Knight wasn’t meant to become a wrestler. Indeed, Shaun Ricker by his real name began his professional life as an actor. Before he became famous, he had already appeared in several roles outside the WWE. In the hit series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” in the role of a bodybuilder. He was a fitness spokesperson and appeared on a home shopping show and in several commercials, before breaking through in the WWE.

Last year in 2025, the former United States Champion had not closed the door to Hollywood if the opportunity presented itself.

He stated, to the Metro media outlet:

“I feel like we should do something… Maybe we should ease into it with me and let me gradually get used to it with a little action and drama film, for example. It could be a mini-series, or perhaps even a small, quick film, a tiny quick film, or something like that.”

But before venturing into cinema, LA Knight would do well to win the world title he so desires…
