Who could replace Bruce Prichard at WWE?
That’s the big question since we learned he’s stepping down from his full-time role as head of production for WWE shows after WrestleMania 43. PWInsider has weighed in on the matter, and the answer points toward WWE NXT.
According to their information, it’s Shawn Michaels who will leave his role as NXT director and talent development to take the position of executive director of RAW, SmackDown and NXT shows. The plan has been in place for some time and calls for Michaels to begin transitioning into this role soon.
But who will replace Shawn Michaels?
This news raises another question: who will replace Shawn Michaels on the NXT side? His role in NXT is equally essential, as all decisions regarding NXT go through him.
According to False Finish, AJ Styles would take on a more prominent role on the NXT side to cover for Michaels’ absence. AJ Styles is currently responsible for WWE recruitment, and he would move into a more significant role at NXT.
Let’s not forget that Shawn Michaels is also accompanied by Matt Bloom to manage NXT, another name who could fill the position. Or at least share the duties with AJ Styles.
The coming months will reveal more about the formalization of these changes.
