Will Ospreay wants to form his United Empire within AEW.
During AEW Dynamite on September 2, 2026, Will Ospreay opened the show to celebrate his AEW World Championship victory, while also discussing his plans for the future. Ospreay stated that the United Empire has been missed since his departure from NJPW, and that is something he intends to build in AEW.
Indeed, his plan is to form a new faction within AEW now that he holds the company’s supreme championship. It isn’t about bringing the United Empire from NJPW back to Japan, but about assembling a brand-new team made up of wrestlers of his choosing.
