Was this the best tribute match in history?
Last Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay and Ricochet delivered a sensational confrontation for the audience and Pac, packed with nods to the past. In a viral moment at the end of the bout, the champion landed a Black Arrow for the victory. The following day on Instagram, the English wrestler spoke out, thanking fans for their reactions to the match on social media.
He states :
&13;
« I love watching the reaction videos to the Black Arrow. Honored to have been able to give one last look to so many people who love Pac. I hope it was the emotional release everyone needed, and I am so grateful to have been able to give you that. Far from being as good as Ben, but that’s exactly what made him so special. There was only one like him. Thank you all! »
Will Ospreay spent a long time training to place this Black Arrow perfectly. A match that will be remembered…
Got to the arena at 2PM and was in the ring til doors opened practicing.
I haven’t performed the Black Arrow for 8 years
Something told me on this night I could make the jump.
I threw my heart out in front of me and Ben caught it.
Thank you Pac 💚 pic.twitter.com/ghUkd8AaTl
