Time for the main event!
At Worlds Collide, six world-class superstars touched down in Chicago to square off. Omos entered first, amid loud boos from the crowd. The giant was then joined by Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Rey Mysterio then arrives, followed by El Grande Americano, both donning traditional outfits and carrying the Mexican flag. But, of course, the country’s hero was still to come.
Revealing the modernized mask of the Straight Edge Society, the 47-year-old veteran makes his entrance to his former theme song “This Fire,” much loved by the fans. They chant the chorus, and the arena erupts. The match begins with a father-versus-son duel. To unsettle Rey, Dominik tries to shake his hand, but the veteran is not fooled.
Each babyface had his moment in Chicago: Judgment Day struggled to gain the upper hand in this six-man match. But after lengthy exchanges, Omos finally stepped into the ring to clash. Rey, Punk, and Americano had to string together moves to take down the giant. And ultimately, thanks to Punk’s GTS, the trio walked away with the final victory!
Yet the victors could not celebrate their win as they deserved. Fortunately, for Rey Mysterio and his allies, Oba Femi was there to come to their aid. To the pleasure of Chicago fans, The Ruler arrived as planned to save the trio. The two Nigerians faced off, a moment frozen in time. The size difference between the two men does not scare Oba Femi: the former NXT Champion will launch his opponent over the top rope! It ends to The Ruler’s music as this Worlds Collide comes to a close.
PUNK 🤝 MYSTERIO 🤝 AMERICANO
That’s how it’s done.
