WWE Wants Musical Segments During Its PLE Events

September 4, 2026

The TKO group wants to explore adding musical segments to its PLEs.

Indeed, WrestleVotes confirms that TKO was determined to stage a musical performance at Sunday Night’s Main Event. As noted by Catch-Newz, rapper Quavo will sing and debut an original song to kick off the show.

The idea is to test the reception to potentially incorporate a musical segment for each PLE. The TKO group aims to enhance the overall fan experience both onsite and on television. The upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event would thus serve as a pilot launch.

The long-term vision is comparable to halftime performances at major sporting events like the NFL’s Super Bowl. The TKO group is looking to have a musical show that could become an additional attraction within the wrestling show.

This isn’t WWE’s first attempt at testing this possibility. In the Vince McMahon era, the company enjoyed featuring a musical performance during WrestleMania or certain PLEs. It remains to be seen what the outcome will be in 2026.
